Vintage ear clips earrings. 18k gold, diamonds and coral. Made in France. Exact date unknown - any time between 1960 and 1970's is most likely.

Measurements: Weight is 35.8 grams. 1 1/2 inches (4cm) long.

Description : Large earrings for non-pierced ears. Shell shaped with deep troughs and rounded crests swirling towards a nose, pave set with 3 rows of diamonds and terminating with a cabochon orange coral. The hollow backs are supported by a trio of elongated gold wire loops, like a flower that surround the back of the clasp. Hinged, long arm forms the other side of the clasp/clip. These earrings are the ultimate in French elegance. Very striking. Exceptional workmanship and quality. There are a number of examples of jewelry made by Boucheron, from as early as the 1920's and 1950's and it seems that this exact color coral alongside pave diamonds was popular with their designers through the 20th century.

Marks and Metal: A large number of hallmarks and information: OR 750 and a serial number P36095 on one side of the hinged clip and BOUCHERON on the other. The end of the same arm has the French eagle head for 18k gold, made in Paris and the maker's mark lozenge for Boucheron.

Condition: Good with negligible wear commensurate with age. I suspect these earrings were never worn. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
