long, elegant earrings that swing and sway are emblematic of the Art Deco Flapper era. You can see the orignal owner at one of Jay Gatsby's parties, dancing the night away. Or possibly Josephine Baker with the earrings flying behind her fashionably short hair cut. This period is still considered to have produced the finest quality of jewelry ever. It was the culmination of artistic and technological ability. The fine carving and elegance of these earrings is a great example of this workmanship and it is a testimony that they are as fabulously wearable today as they were about 100 years ago.We should also remember that coral is now a highly endangered species and natural coral like this is increasingly rare.
