Antique Vintage Art Deco Ring Diamonds Onyx Crl 14k Gold C1925-1935 (5580)

Antique / vintage Art Deco ring. 14k yellow gold mount with bezel of coral, onyx and diamonds. Made circa 1925-1935.

Measurements: ring size is approx.US 4.5, but can easily be altered to fit any finger. Weighs 4.7grams. Length of bezel approx.15.5mm (about10/16th inch).

Geometric theme: a black onyx body with parallel sides with a subtle down turn at either end enclosed in gold rectangles very finely set with diamond ribbons. In the center of the onyx is a gold Colette enclosing a carved coral flower. Classic use of materials to underline the strong design: the power of the black onyx contrasting with the extremely fine setting of the small diamonds and all enhanced with the pink-red of the coral. Simple gold shank. Very smart.

Marks: there is a single oval mark inside the shank, but we cannot make out what it says.

Condition: good with minor wear commensurate with age.
