Antique Art Nouveau bracelet bangle. 18k yellow gold, diamonds, rubies and emeralds. A tiny amount of silver/platinum. Made in France, circa 1895-1910.

Measurements: Weight is 24.5 grams. Length approximately 7 1/4 inches (18.5cm).

Description : 8 oval stations joined by round links that allow flexibility and movement. Each oval section with diagonally placed, modelled flowers on either side of a swirling gold scrolling ribbon, borders with small, openwork foliage and overlaid with parallel scrolling lines in silver, set with diamonds, at right angles to the gold ribbon. Very fine openwork, pierced detail and modelling. Flowers are alternatively set with rubies and emeralds (red and green). Silver scrolls are very finely set with tiny diamonds. Flowers are Daisies, a particularly popular flower of the Art Nouveau period. In France, they are known as Marguerittes. Tongue in groove clasp is secure. In addition, there is a gold safety chain with a spring loop clasp. Fine quality workmanship and design.

Marks and Metal: Tongue of clasp with eagle head for 18k gold, made in Paris; rhinoceros head, also for 18k gold, a maker's mark lozenge (the initials/mark illegible) and a stamped number 15887. No mark for platinum/silver.

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
