THE STORY: the period following Queen Victoria released a love of beauty and luxury when her pleasure-loving, art appreciating son, became King Edward. Simultaneous to the appreciation of beauty and art, technology advanced in leaps and bounds and the combination of art and technology produced one of the most exquisite periods of jewelry making in history. These earrings are a great example. We can imagine the original owner at a very fancy, royal ball, dancing the night away with her earrings flashing in the light. Clearly well looked after for generations, the earrings are as wearable today as they were over 100 years ago.
