These earrings are all about the pink sapphires. Beautiful color which some might call bubble-gum pink. Great clarity allows for gleam and glint. Additional eye appeal thanks to the swing and sway as the wearer moves.
Subtle and elegant.
Original wires have been replaced by posts.

THE STORY:

Do you prefer antique jewelry to gorgeous gems? No worries - these earrings combine both. They are antique and they incorporate the prettiest pink sapphires. No doubt they were worn to a ball and to many an elegant dinner. The silver over the gold indicates that they were made in an era when diamonds were believed to show off to best effect in candle or gas light in a silver setting. Hence the thin layer of silver over the gold mounts. We can only imagine the ladies who enjoyed these versatile ear pendants over the centuries and amazingly, they are as versatile and wearable today as they were well over 100 years ago.
