Antique Art Deco bangle bracelet. 3-color 14k gold and gems, including diamonds, emerald and sapphire. Believed to originate in the United Kingdom, circa 1920's.
Measurements: Weight is 27.2 grams. Diameter 2 1/2 inches (just under 6.5cm). Can easily adjust to fit a larger wrist.
Description : The bangle winds around the wrist 3 times, ending on either end in a snake head. Expandable coils in red, white and yellow gold, very finely textured so that the light reflects off the surface, creating the illusion of varying patterns. Head with highly detailed scales and features, including open mouth, jagged teeth and tongue. The heads are set with a central gem - a sapphire on one side and an emerald on the other. Front and back of these central gems are diamonds and at right angles, the eyes, set with tiny rubies. Gems held in gold collets. Great attention to detail and minute features that combine to create a luxurious bracelet.
