Description :
Crafted in solid 18k yellow gold. Elegant navette shape - an elongated oval with flowing floral design characteristic of the Art Nouveau period. Beautifully sculpted flowers and leaves in a graceful setting. The crown of the ring with openwork floral and foliage decoration, realistically modelled. The shoulders echo this design with further floral detail, that eventually twists around the shank of the ring.
At the center, tiny diamonds are set in a contrasting section - the white showing off beautifully against the bright golden yellow. They add subtle sparkle and enhance the sophistication of the pretty design. Each gleams in its own way.
The ring wraps around the finger (not raised).
Not ostentatious, the ring’s refined proportions and excellent workmanship make it a lovely example of understated elegance.
The workmanship is very good, characteristic of the fine Parisian ateliers of the Art Nouveau era. Design is classic Art Nouveau. Beautiful and as wearable today as it was over 120 years ago.

THE STORY:
Art Nouveau is a big name that covered a very short period. The quality of jewelry workmanship reached a zenith in France during the late 19th - early 20th century, coinciding exactly with the Art Nouveau era (1895 - 1905). Even during the time it was created by such famous jewelers as Rene Lalique, not much was created in Paris. Variations of the style were copied and produced in other countries (such as Germany and the USA), but Paris remained the benchmark of Nouveau jewels. A truly collectible piece of fine antique Art Nouveau jewelry, perfect for anyone who appreciates Art Nouveau without going over the top in price. Authentic Art Nouveau jewelry like this is increasingly rare and even in France, very few items are available today.
