Description:
Diamonds, offset by platinum, each gem set in an individual square mount, with filigree border, connected by fine loops to it's neighbours. This allows the sections gentle movement. After every 7 pairs of diamonds, there is a square section composed of a central large diamond, accent sapphires at the corners and more diamonds in between. There are 5 of these square sections. The sides are beautifully chased with scrolling patterns. Workmanship and quality are excellent. A safety chain ensures the tongue-in-groove clasp is more than safe. Like most jewelry of this period, the accent stones (sapphires) are man made.
Marks:
5719 on the tongue. Otherwise, none found.
