Antique Minton tile / plaque handpainted with putti / winged cherubs .
Made England, 19th century.
8 x 8 inches square.
Beautifully painted pair of cherubs on a hilly outcrop covered with grasses, flank a basket of flowers.
One cherub holds out a small nest of eggs to the other.
Ribbons fly behind and around the chubby little fellows.
Great detail and very fine artistry.
The back of the tile has embossed: Minton Hullins & Co Patent Tile Works Stoke On Trent.
Excellent condition - no chips/cracks to be seen.
Tile is in simple wooden frame.
