Antique Vintage Ring 22k Gold Turquoise Rock Crystal Rajastan India (7257)

Vintage ring. 22k gold, rock crystal and turquoise. Made in Rajastan, India approximately 50-80 years ago. Unisex.

Measurements: Weight is 3.8 grams. US size 4 3/4 (a tad under).

Description : Delicate, ornate little ring with a great look. The center is a rectangle with canted corners of gold, holding a cut and polished natural rock crystal gem - in appearance like a diamond, closed by the gold at the back, that adds to the shine and glitter of the stone. Leading towards the shoulders, is a pair of tear-shaped golden colettes, each set with a very pretty cabochon turquoise. The contrast between the blue of the turquoise and the bright gold is stunning. These are surrounded by golden globules and moulded botanical forms, the shoulders like wings flaring from the simple gold shank. There is a small gold loop on one side of the bezel. It was likely provided to attach another gem, that would dangle from the ring and finger. There is nothing currently attached to the ring.
Very well made and very pretty. As wearable today as it was half a century ago.

Marks and Metal: No marks. Gold was acid tested.
