Travelling in spring brings its own magic to someone who lives in semi-seasonless Florida.
In London, while bundled up until I resemble a ball or a block, I marvel at the daffodils and delicate white narcissus flowers bravely raising their heads in defiance of what I still call Arctic conditions. Does GB stand for great bravery? Young girls sporting tummies and short skirts. I'm not staring because of the semi-nudity but because of their resistance to the weather.
Just back from a short trip to New York City. It's not difficult to admit that Manhattan leads Boca when it comes to fashion and trends.
While it was freezing cold most of the time I was in the distant north, even snowing for a few hours, there is a definite feeling that Spring is in the air. Not just because we have moved the clock forwards, but because, looking into the shop windows on 5th Av and Madison, the gorgeously dressed mannequins are all wearing summer. Feisty Manhatten-ites, never a slave to weather, are already wearing sandals.

My dress sense is undeniably not my strong suite, so I will comment no further, but I do know that as we remove huge coats, heavy sweaters, hats and scarves, we reveal our faces, necks and arms and they are all just waiting for some gorgeous
antique jewellery to adorn them.
As weather permits neck-lines to plunge, even a little, a pretty necklace finishes off the look.
#7517 jade bead necklace - so fresh.
Whose uncovered ears don't benefit from some colour and flash? Anything ranging from diamonds and gold to enamels, garnets and peridot for pink and green to celebrate the new season. Antique earrings are the way to go!

I love the look of a pile of bangles, Indian style, jangling up from the wrist to the elbow, expressing the fun and joys of life when Spring hits. You don't need a ring on every finger, nor bells on your toes, but wear a few, a la those magnificent Ingres women for a re-invention of a great look. Please don't neglect your index finger. Dare to differ and
wear something exotic on your thumb. You're sure to be noticed whatever the beautiful jewellery you wear.
"novel" ways to wear your rings.
Don't forget the color of spring is green. Accessorise to suit. Gems include peridot, demantoid and tsavorite garnets, emeralds and jade. Bring out magic in your eyes with green earrings. Green bangles - gorgeous!!
