Vintage Earrings 4.50ct Diamonds Platinum Long Ear Pendants w Appraisal (5578)

Pendant Chandelier earrings. Diamonds set in platinum. Made circa 1950 and from a wealthy Atlanta estate.

Measurements: a little over 5cm (2inches) long; weigh 19.0 grams. 4.50ct diamonds.

Great color and brilliance. Post fittings. The post attaches to the first of a line of round, Colette set diamonds. At the bottom, they are overlapped by an arc of diamonds with a geometric openwork crown in its center. Beneath this are 3 lines of diamonds: the outer lines are actually an elongated loop and there is an inner free line in their center. Diamonds alternate between baguette cut and round brilliant cuts. Fabulous stones. Set in filigree platinum. Long and elegant with a fine sway as the wearer moves. This was the best quality Atlanta society boasted in the 1950's.
