Vintage Art Deco earrings ear pendants. Diamonds and blue-black pearls set in platinum. Made circa 1920's to 30's.
Measurements: Diamonds are approximately 1.00ct; VS in clarity and H-I in color. Total length of earrings is a little over 1 1/4 inches (3.5cm). Weigh 4.8grams.
Description: Sheer luxury and glamour! The earrings have posts with a small diamond surmount. An arrangement of diamonds in filigree mount, like a flower's calyx beneath the surmount leads to two, parallel rows of diamonds - a pair of diamonds set at an angle, a pair of round-set diamonds and then another pair of diamonds set at an angle. These connect to trios of diamonds like flowers, mirror images of the top sets. Finally, there are deep blue-grey-black pearl drops. <P><P>
The upper and lower sections are very finely set; the diamonds in the parallel rows are set in a way that allows them to swing and sway as the wearer moves. The workmanship looks and feels slinky and luxurious. Great craftmanship. <P><P>
Marks: none were found, but metal was acid tested to ensure purity.********* <P><P>
