Necklace Victorian Belle Epoque Sapphire Gem Diamonds Gold w Appraisal (6219)
Measurements: Total length 15.5 inches (39cm). Weighs 12.5 grams. Square cut sapphire weighs 4.20ct. Peridot weighs 7.22ct. Tourmaline weighs 6.81ct. Tourmaline and Peridot are antique pear cut. Total diamond weight is 1.0ct.
Description: Negligee necklace with drops of varying lengths. A gold chain suspends a lovely bright blue sapphire mounted in a diamond-encrusted fine bow. The ribbon ends of the bow twist and turn naturalistically and suspend a pear-shaped peridot and pink tourmaline respectively. Ends are knotted bows of diamonds. Diamonds are set in silver over gold, which is typical of the Victorian era.
Marks: clasp of the chain is hallmarked 15k.
Box made of dark red leather embossed in gold borders. Inside fitted velvet bottom and silk top with name of retailer C.B. Vaughan., Diamond Merchant, 39 Strand, London W.C.
