Antique Art Nouveau brooch. 14k yellow gold and silver, diamonds. Made in Imperial Russia by Carl Faberge 1898-1908.
Unisex - suitable for a man or a woman.
Independent appraisal.

Measurements: Weight is 4.7 grams. Approximately 1 3/8 inch (3.5cm) long. Diamonds 0.59ct.

Description : This brooch is all about beautiful design and lovely diamonds. Strong Art Nouveau influence in the scrolling openwork. A central diamond with mirror-image cornucopia in gold cables that terminate in slightly smaller diamonds. Scrolling gold ribbons fill part of the spaces between the cornucopia and the oval border. An addition pair of small diamonds forming subtle accents. Diamonds mounted in silver, which was the norm at the time - it being considered that they showed off better in gas or candle light when mounted in silver. The rest of the brooch is composed of 14k gold. Original, gentle design that subtly hints at luxury and richness.
Hinged pin with simple c-clasp.

Marks and Metal: Side is hallmarked with Imperial Russian marks for 14k gold 56 and woman's head facing left with initials of workmaster in Cyrillic. Next to that is the oval mark for Carl Faberge. The gold mark was used 1898-1908. Workmaster initials possibly for Ivan Sergeyevich Lebedkin - (confirmation/other appreciated). Ivan Sergeyevich Lebedkin was a master assayer who worked in Moscow 1898-1914.

Condition: Good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
