Antique Art Deco ring. Platinum, diamonds and blue sapphire. Made in the USA circa 1920-30's.
Comes with AGL (American Gemological Society), New York certificate.
Measurements:
Weight is 4.7 grams. Approximately US size 4 1/2 - can be resized.
AGL certificate describes ring as 2.82ct, with no sign of heating.
Description :
Luscious, cushiony deep blue sapphire. Surrounded by a floating ring of pave-set diamonds with bands of diamonds, identically set at the cardinal points, securing the sapphire to the diamond ring. Diamonds set in platinum with millegrain edges. Bands on sides meet up with fluer-de-lis - 3-part shoulder, also set with diamonds. Simple platinum shank.
Very good quality workmanship. The star of the ring is the fabulous sapphire. The shape is great and the color a rich velvety tone of blue - fabulous.
Elegant and timeless. Commands attention and admiration.
Marks and Metal:
Platinum is not marked. Inside of shank is maker's mark SK&S with the K lightly larger than the other letters. The number 23804 follows the maker's mark and is likely a model number.
Condition:
