Antique Vintage Earrings 18k White Gold Old Mine Cut Diamonds (7153)

Antique / vintage earrings. 18k white gold and Old Mine cut diamonds. Made circa 1930. Independent gemological appraisal.

Measurements: Weight is 3.0 grams. 1.67ct diamonds

Description : Versatile and fabulous looking when worn. Sometimes, small says more. These earrings are all about the simplicity and beauty of the diamonds. No extra decoration or embellishments. The Old Mine cut diamonds (a cushiony, square/rectangular shape with a large culet) are held on a simple white gold, curving wire which is easy to insert and comfortable to wear. The backs supported by a very secure and strong hinged system. Diamonds held up by sturdy white gold claws that form an open cagework, which is very pretty when seen from the side/back.
So comfortable, you need never remove them. Known in English as Sleepers and in French as Dormeuse for that reason.
Understated elegance - the earrings look utterly charming, catching the onlooker's eye without screaming attention. Totally versatile - can be worn with your jeans or pyjamas, to work or to a fancy party. These would be my go-to earrings of choice.

Marks and Metal: Stamped 750 on back for 18k gold. Gold was alsoacid tested to ensure metal purity.
