Antique vintage earrings. 18k gold and diamonds and a small amount of silver. Made in Hungary, circa 1930.
Independent appraisal and certificate.
Measurements: Weight is 2.8 grams. 1.56ct Old European cut diamonds. Length is a little over 1/2 inch (1.5cm).
Description : Graduated line of diamonds, with the smallest at the top and the largest at the bottom. Finely set and held aloft by a gallery of silver over the gold. This was typically used to show diamonds off to best effect. Posts with hinged, secure clasps are surprisingly comfortable and convenient. The look is great.
Earrings date to circa 1930, but I strongly believe that the beautiful diamonds are a lot older. They are typical of the Georgian/Victorian eras and they are the reason the earrings pop out with such aplomb and look so fabulous.
Small, but impressive and perfect to wear with any outfit to any occasion. Versatile and eternal. A fabulous addition to any collection.
Marks and Metal: Hungarian hallmarks on posts are a little too small to be legible. Electronically tested with Auracle AGT3 as 18k gold.
Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
Appraisal certificate available to new owner upon request.
