Description : Super antique Indian ring suitable for either a man or a woman. Bezel in the form of a very sturdy, rectangular gold cell with large cabochon natural turquoise gem, fat and cushiony - almost organic in shape, with lovely, lively color. Shoulders are raised heart-shaped cells, divided into 3 inner sections, seperated by gold borders, containing a pair of pale cabochon rubies on top and a small turquoise cabochon on the bottom. A very simple gold band with attached flower at the back end. This secret fine detail is typical of antique Mughal jewelry. (secret because it is not seen by anyone but the wearer).
Marks and Metal: Like all antique Indian jewelry, there are not hallmarks. Gold was acid tested as at least 22k.
Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
This ring comes from a very famous family who have bought and sold jewelry to the Maharaja and princely families in India for generations. While clearly this ring belonged to such a royal family, it would not be tactful/acceptible to ask for personal details from the seller.
