Description : Mid-Victorian ring with all of the solid, classic and elegant sense of strong design and color that was typical of the period.
A rectangular emerald of a lovely bright and clear color set in gold and flanked on either side by gleaming pearls, similarly set in gold. The trio of gems is surrounded by a border of rose-cut diamonds, set in silver over the gold mount, very typical of the period. (Diamonds were believed to be seen to greater advantage when set in silver). Forking foliate shoulders to the simple gold shank. Closed backs to gems, indicating an early date. Each gem is enclosed in a half-dome with radiating ridges.
Very well made; very wearable; very versatile; very lovely. A classic jewel that has given pleasure to generations of women for 150 years and will continue to do so in the future.
Pearls are believed to be original and natural, but were not tested.

Marks and Metal: Gold was tested to ensure metal purity.

Condition: Good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
