Antique Victorian earrings. 14k gold and coral. Made circa 1860.
Length, not including wires is approximately 1 1/8 inch (3.25cm). Weigh 6.4 grams.
Oval in shape with extended or protruding decoration adding to the interest. The gold is repousse hammered to form a design of leaves and scrolls, fans and granulation. In the center of each earring is a small coral bead attached by a gold pin to the earring. A little golden globe is suspended at the bottom of each earring. Backs are closed.
No marks. We acid tested the gold, which stays for 14k.
