Antique Victorian Brooch Dog Umbrella Gold Silver Diamonds Enamel Pearls (6343)

Antique / vintage brooch pin. 14k Gold, silver, diamonds, enamel and pearls. Made 19th century.

Measurements: Length is a little over 2 inches (52mm). Weighs 7.3 grams.

Description: Gorgeous pin. A beautifully modelled dog holds an umbrella in its mouth. The dog with pave set diamonds throughout the face, a pink enamel tongue and little cabochon eyes that are too small to test as rubies. The dog is in gold with silver top to show off the diamonds to better effect. The folded umbrella with a coil of gold rope and a pair of pearls suspended near the handle. The 'fabric' of the umbrella in blue and red enamel with gold highlights.

Marks: The pin with 585 mark in an oval. (14k gold).
