Antique Georgian hoop earrings. Diamonds, 14k gold and silver. Almost certainly made in the United Kingdom circa 1810 - 1820.
Measurements: Weight is 3.2 grams. One inch (2.8cm) long, not including the wires. Diameter of hoops a tad under 3/4 inch (1.9cm).
Description : Swinging hoop earrings. A circle of small flat and rose-cut diamonds set in silver over gold, traditionally the setting for diamonds during that time. The ring of diamonds is suspended via loops from a tiny diamond surmount, thus allowing them to swing freely as the wearer moves. Movement catches the eye and adds to the appeal of the earrings. The wires, clearly replacements are easy to insert and comfortable to wear.
Over 200 years old, these rare earrings are classic and versatile. They are suitable to wear with any outfit and add a sense of youth and fun in an understated way. Fabulous and work well for anyone and everyone.

Marks and Metal: wires are 14k gold (tested electronically). Backs were acid tested as 14k gold.
