Antique late Victorian earrings ear clips. 14k yellow gold and platinum. Emeralds and diamonds. Made circa 1890-1910.
Weight is 9.30 grams. 4.60 ct diamonds; 8.87 ct emeralds.
A pair of emerald cut, square emeralds with canted corners. Emeralds of a superb color and depth. Set with a border of Old European cut diamonds and suspended from small diamond surmounts. Mounted in platinum over gold. The clips are certainly later additions that help support the earrings comfortably on the ear. Made for pierced ears.
This is one of the most stunning pairs of earrings I've had the priviledge of owning. They are beyond stunning.
