Measurements: approximately 4cm (1 1/2inches) long, not including the wire loops. Weigh 13.2grams. Diamonds approx .58ct.
Superb antique pair of earrings. Exact dates not known, but definately pre 1900's. Two gold plaques with loops on either side support the floral and foliate kundan set, table cut diamonds. They are surrounded by a border of natural pearls that loop through the rings on either side of the gold plaques, holding them in place. Below is a fring of pearls, ending in glass turquoise beads. It was perfectly normal for Indian jewelry to combine fine gem stones such as diamonds with glass. The quality of the earrings is excellent. Original clasps have been replaced with wire loops, making the earrings easy to insert and comfortable to wear. Perfect for a bride or at a wedding. Suitable to wear with the most luxurious outfit.
Marks: none, as is to be expected. Gold was acid tested as being 22k. An independant appraisal is available to the buyer.
Condition: good. Please see enlarged pictures for details.
