Antique Art Deco ring. Platinum, pink tourmaline and diamonds. Made early 20th century - circa 1920's.

Measurements: Weight is 5.1 grams. Tourmaline 5.44ct ; Diamonds 0.14ct. US size 6 1/2.

Description : Large beautiful pink tourmaline is the main feature of this solitaire ring. Cushion shaped, gently faceted with colors from bright pink to shades of purple. Continuously moving twinkle of the glow and gleam as the light catches it at different angles and reflects from the different facets and combination of facets. The tourmaline is supported above the finger by a mount of openwork platinum, with diamond details. Front and back with textured platinum openwork bows, the centers set with diamonds in a colette setting. Architectural shoulders with ribbons of pave set diamonds and engraved foliate detail and millegrain borders. Ring is perfect as a unique engagement ring, but can be worn by anyone, with any outfit from jeans to party pretty. Beautifully made and fabulous gem quality and color.

Marks and Metal: worn mark inside the shank is illegible. Metal was acid tested as platinum.
