Antique Art Deco ring. Platinum, emerald, diamonds. Made circa 1925. Exact origin unknown, but almost certainly European. AGL report  Document No. 1129898.  Also has independent appraisal.

Measurements:

Weight is 3.2 grams. A little under a US size 6 1/2. Emerald measures 7.55 X 6.24 X 3.92mm (1.25ct approx).

Description :

Fantastic ring with a fantastic design, fantastic emerald and fantastic workmanship.
Design is classic Art Deco: geometric - a square with rectangular straps leading to the shoulders, arching slightly, 3 to a side with a pair of parallel bands an openwork gap and a middle band. All set in milligrained platinum. Like the border of the bezel, the shoulders are very finely pave set with diamonds. The arch or curve of the side bands lead the eye in 3 dimentions so that the ring has far greater eye appeal than were they flat.
The central feature of the ring is a fabulous old emerald: vivid, bright, glowing green. It comes with an AGL certificate confirming that it is a fine, traditional gem with minimal treatment.
Simple platinum shank.
Vibrant and eye-catching.
Perfect to wear every day or to an important event. Makes a unique and very beautiful engagement ring.

Marks and Metal:

A geometric hallmark inside the shank is not familiar to us.

Condition:

Good with negligible wear commensurate with age.  Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.

THE STORY:

The beauty and appeal of this ring really speaks for itself. As mentioned above, the design and quality are sure to catch every eye. The timelessness of the ring evidenced by it's huge appeal today, 100 years since it was made.
