THE STORY: As an antique jewelry seller, I am privileged to see many lovely jewels. This is one of the most beautiful bracelets I've been lucky enough to own. Did an Art Deco Flapper wear it with her beautiful chiffon shift and bobbed hair - glinting and gleaming as she danced the night away? In that short and luxurious era prior to the 2nd World War, where the norm was over the top, this would be the ultimate bracelet. The Art Deco era was the culmination in beautiful workmanship and design - when technology allowed jewellers to make pieces where the gems seemed to float in the air, untethered by heavy gold mounts. What exciting life did this great great great grandmother live? Liberated, given the vote, free. The world was her oyster and this bracelet reflects those very rare and special years and the rare and special people who lived through them.
