Antique late Victorian - Edwardian locket pendant. 14k gold, demantoid garnets and natural pearls. Made circa 1900.

20 round demantoid garnets, weighing over a carat in total.
Oval locket with glass compartment for a picture of a beloved, hair or other romantic device. Reversible - can be observed and enjoyed from both
sides. The outer border on one side is set with alternating pearls and demantoid garnets; on the reverse, it is entirely set with natural pearls. The
tear-shaped bale is set with matching pearls. All pearls are well matched and have a lovely color and lustre. Gold inner border can be lifted to
insert / remove picture. Exquisite workmanship - see way the stones and pearls are set on both sides.
Marks: none. Gold tested for 14k.
