Antique Jugendstil - Schmuck / Art Nouveau brooch. Silver pearls, peridot and enamel. Made in Pforzheim, Germany, circa 1908 by Theodor Fahrner.

description:
Brooch consists of an arc or semi-circle, enameled in green and Colette set with peridot. Within the reserve formed by the arc, and extending downwards, is an openwork lattice of filigree scrolls and swags. A ring of pearls is set parallel to, and inside the arc. 3 elongated highly stylized tulip-shapes, enameled in a range of greens from almost white to bright. These are attached via silver loops, and are Therefore free floating. Alternating between the heads of the tulips are 4 pearls. From the bottom silver wire-work are 5 chains, gradated in length, each ending in a Colette set green peridot.
Marks:
The pin at the back is hallmarked as follows: Maker's mark for Theodor Fahrner; 925; STERLING and GERMANY. Generally very good condition.
Condition:
Negligible enamel wear, shown magnified in the 'photos is commensurate with age. Similar pieces by Theodor Fahrner are shown in the last group of 'photos.
