Description:
The bracelet of wide gold openwork with a distinctly Asian style - looking something like stylized Chinese calligraphy alternating with round openwork disks. The disks and the sections closest to the central jade plaque are very richly enameled in typical Art Deco fashion. Enameling in bright red, deep blue and with light green highlights. Quality of the workmanship is outstanding.
The jade plaque on a gold mount is attached on either side via hinges to the rest of the bracelet. This ensures that the jade plaque will sit correctly on the arm of the wearer. The jade is of a bright green. It is carved to depict birds and foliage. The jade is of a very homogonous color (almost no variations in color). The certificate describing the jade will accompany the bracelet to the new owner.
Tongue in groove clasp. There is also a safety chain that is missing a link on one side (easily replaced).
Marks and metal:
There is a somewhat faded French hallmark for 14k gold on the clasp.
