Description: A long, tapering brooch pin. The terminal set with a large, oval natural saltwater pearl graded as Cream in color and with very good luster. No indication of treatment. The pearl is enclosed in a delicate band of rose cut diamonds and held aloft by a mirroring 'claw' somewhat like part of a caduceus. The tapering line of the brooch initially set with calibre set onyx chosen to offset the pale pearl to best effect and finally a long row of graduated diamonds of single and Old European cuts.
The design is stunning and very strong, typical of the Art Deco period. There is a balance between the length of the pin section and the fullness of the pearl.
Marks: No marks.
Condition: Good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
