Antique / vintage Arts & Crafts Art Deco ring. 14k yellow gold, pearls and topaz. Made in the USA circa 1920-40's.
US size 8.5. Weighs 2.9 grams.
Arching and rounded navette shaped bezel, tapering at the shoulders. Openwork flowers and tendrils form a background for a diagonally placed half pearl alongside a pair of small blue rose cut topaz. Pearls are close-backed, but topaz are open-backed to allow light to pass through. Typical American Art Deco design. Very attractive and well made.
No marks found. Gold was acid tested to ensure metal purity.
minor wear commensurate with age. One pearl has a surface scratch, visible only with a loupe and mentioned for the sake of accuracy. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer. Note: the gems were sold to me as sapphires, but according to my gem tester, they are topaz.
