Antique Ring. Arts and Crafts to Art Deco period and design. 14k yellow gold and Smoky topaz. Made circa 1880-1920's.

Description: Oval ring. The transluscent, smokey brown quarts gemstone is flat on top, with facets carved around the sides. It is held in a marvellous Arts and Crafts gold mount of openwork flowers and foliage with filigre detail and a pair of birds sharing a spray of leaves in their beaks on either side. It is unusual to find birds depicted in the mount of a ring.
Shoulders of the ring with a Celtic design and a narrowing band of foliage.
Marks: the ring is marked 14k.
Condition: good with minor wear commensurate with age.
