Antique vintage Art Deco silver-plate and bakelite teaset. Made 1920-30's.
Consists of:
Tray.
Measures 16 3/4 inches across handles. 15 1/4 inches across tray. Oval shape with straight ends. Handles at a sharp angle with bakelite semi-circles forming a very interesting play of geometric shapes where they protrude beyond the end of the tray.
Teapot:
6 3/4 inches high. fan shaped base with fluting on sides, perfectly round body with arching, hinged lid and wide mouth, close to body. Handle & finial with bakelite.
Milk jug:
5 inches high. same form as the teapot.
Sugar bowl:
a little under 5 inches high. Same form as teapot and milkjug, without handle and spout.
Classic Art Deco geometric design with minimal decoration. The front and back of each piece has a ridged round disk. The lids form an element of interest as does the bakelite. The fan-shaped bases have raised centers on the sides. Construction is extremely sturdy.

No makers marks found.
Condition
is good. The handle of the milk jug has a small imperfection in the bakelite, shown magnified in the 'photos. The surface of the silver is in original condition with light scratch to the tray. No dings/dents/were found.
