Antique Vintage Earrings 18k Gold Reels Can wear as Rings Indian Unisex (7247)

Antique / vintage earrings. 18k gold. Made in India. Approximately 40 - 80 years old. Unisex - can be worn by a man or a woman. Can also be worn as rings or pendants.

Measurements: Weight is 12.1 grams. Diameter approximately 3/4 inch (2.2cm). Ring size approximately US size 6.

Description : Intrigueing pair of earrings. Exact age is unknown, like most vintage/antique Indian jewelry.
Reel form with protruding, cylindrical borders. The tops with flower form adornment in filigree and granulation. Hidden behind these, is a pair of loops. These allow the earrings to be worn as a pair of pendants.
Unusually versatile: while these were made to be worn in the ears, they also have little loops behind the flower that allows them to be worn as pendants. In addition, they are charming as finger rings. We have not impinged on the original form of the earrings, but added wires, so that a modern woman with small holes in her ears can wear them comfortably (as opposed to the original wearer, who would have huge, distended earlobes).
Seemingly simple and unadorned, these earrings command tremendous charm.

Marks and Metal: hidden inside the earrings are engraved marks for 18k 750 gold.
