Antique, late Victorian ring. 18k gold and cabochon garnet. Exact origin unknown. Made circa 1890's. Unisex - can be worn by a man or a woman.

Measurements: Weight is 3.3 grams. Approximately US size 5.5.

Description : A small ring with a fabulous look and tremendous attraction. A simple gold band leads to looped, overlapping and overlocking knots, symbolic of marriage, love and commitment.
Gold loops connect to a dangling locket of gold, set with a cabochon garnet. Tiny working hinge. Put a miniature picture or a locket of hair inside.
The ring is charming and a delight to wear. Absolute fun. Can be worn by a man or a woman, young or old.
During the late 19th century, there was a revival of interest in Celtic traditions and Celtic knots became very popular in the United Kingdom especially in the Arts & Crafts movement such as Archibald Knox and Liberty & Co. Marks and Metal: No marks, common in jewelry of this age. Gold was electronically tested as 18ct.
