Antique, Georgian bracelet / bangle. 15ct gold set with topaz and turquoise. Made in England circa 1820 -30's.
Across widest part 2 5/8 inches on the outside. Fits a wrist approx 6 1/4 inches in circumference. weighs 16.1 grams. Gemstones: 20 carats of topaz; 2.20 carats turquoise.
The presence of cannetile work, indicates a date at latest 1830's. A central flower of cabochon turquoise stones with a golden topaz at it's center and large golden globes on either side is flanked by a series of oval topaz gems and turquoise, exquisitely set amidst fine gold foliage and berries. The topaz stones have closed backs, typical of the Georgian era. A gold safety chain may/not be original, but adds security and indicates the value placed on this item. The clasp is in good, working order.
