Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival pair of bracelets. 18k yellow gold, pearls, enamel, diamonds, a small amount of silver. Made in England, Great Britain, circa 1890's. Suitable for a wedding / bride.

Measurements: Weight is 28.6 grams. Each bracelet is approximately 7 1/2 inches (19cm).

Description : A pair of late Victorian wedding bracelets. Each bracelet composed of 4 strands of small pearls, attached at either end by gold, enamel and diamond terminals. Enamel in very fine, black and white design with gold highlights, which is almost a signature of the Giuliano family. Partially solid and partially openwork with a central Old European cut diamond set in silver.

Terminals on one side of each bracelet with original, long golden hooks. The opposite side has had small jump loops attached at a later date.

Similar bracelets were combined to be worn as a necklace, with a drop in the center as that design was very popular with Giuliano. See 'photo with this design and a pendant hanging between them from the Akiba Museum in Tokyo, Japan. Another, was sold at Bonhams:London Jewels lot 86 C1890 21 September 2023 for GBP 25600.00 (yes, twenty five thousand, six hundred British Pounds).
And speaking of price: A very similar pair of pearl and enamel bracelets was sold at Christies: A pair of Renaissance Revival pearl and enamel bracelets, circa 1880, by Giuliano. Estimate £ 4,000 - £5,000 ($ 7,884 - $9,855 ). Price Realized £ 8,400 ($ 16,556 ). see Christie’s. IMPORTANT JEWELERY , 6 December 2006, London, King Street lot 156.
The terminals are also very similar to a belt buckle, also made by Carlo and Arthur Giuliano.

Both necklaces and buckles with work like this are referred to as Renaissance Revival jewelry.

Currently, as a pair of bracelets they are perfect for a bride.

Marks and Metal: Gold tested as 18k. Signed with Carlo and Arthur Giuliano maker's mark on each terminal.

Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. As mentioned, jump loops are replacements. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
