Vintage Pendant Brooch 18k Gold Sapphires Crl Swan Appraisal Unisex (5560)

Pendant Brooch Pin. 18k white gold sapphire and coral. Estate piece made circa 1980's. Measurements: approximately 1 1/2 inches (4.5cm) across. Weighs 18grams. Approximately 3 cts sapphires. Coral 30X20mm and 5X2mm. Brooch-pendant in the Renaissance tradition of creating naturalistic forms copied from the animal kingdom made of jewels. Realistic looking swan made from red coral and sapphires. Mostly yellow sapphires, with a blue sapphire as the eye. Beautifully pave set - the workmanship is of the highest quality. A pin at the back as well as a bail allows the piece to be worn as either a brooch or a pendant. Extremely elegant. Marks: the back has two marks: an oval with radiating curves next to OB - probably the maker and 750 - for 18k gold (indicating a European origin - probably Italian). Condition: very good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Indpendent appraisal available to new owner upon request.
