Mid century Brooch Pendant Starburst Sapphire Diamonds 14k Gold Vintage (7202)

Vintage mid-century Brooch pendant. 14k white gold, diamonds and sapphire. Made mid 20th century, circa 1950-60's. Unisex - can be worn by a man or a woman.

Measurements: 1 5/8 inches across (4.2cm). 1.07ct sapphire; 2.51ct diamonds. Diamonds are G-H in color. Weight is 18.0 grams.

Description : Conical starburst pendant brooch. The apex is a sapphire of the most beautiful, deep, gleaming, blue color that glows from deep to bright tones as the light catches it. The sapphire is surrounded by a ring of diamonds and from them extend rays of white light made of 14k white gold, in increasingly longer lengths. Each ray terminating in a bright, light diamond. Since the rays are of increasing depth as well as length, causing a pyramidal or conical effect, the light catches each gem differently, bouncing in a huge play of reflection and gleaming brightness. The jewel can be worn as a brooch or a pendant.

Very well made with great quality gems, in particular the sapphire, which is of an exceptionally lovely color. The brooch/pendant is extremely versatile and can be worn on any part of one's attire, by men or women, young, old, or inbetween. A great addition to any collection.

Marks and Metal: No marks. Gold was acid tested to ensure metal purity.
