Antique Vintage Earrings Ear pendants natural Emeralds Diamonds 18k Gold (7200)

Antique Vintage earrings. 18k white gold, emeralds and diamonds. Made circa 1920-30's. Place of manufacture unknown. 

Measurements: Weight is 4.20 grams. 5/8inches including the upper part of the wires (2cm). Approximately 1/2 inch not including the wires. Diamonds 0.96ct; emeralds 1.86ct but look bigger.

Description : Square-rectangular emeralds of a lovely bright green shade colette set in 18k gold, rising above a border ring of Old European cut diamonds, similarly set. Simple wire with hinged lever back is easy to insert and very comfortable to wear. This is one of the most wearable pairs of emerald earrings I have seen or experienced. Suitable for any occasion, including day wear. So comfortable, you need never remove them, even for sleeping in. Versatile, Classic setting and design and very well made. If I had to choose a go-to pair of earrings, these would be at the top of my list.

These earrings were probably made at the end of the 1920's to 1930's when white gold became popular for setting jewelry.

Marks and Metal: No marks. Gold was acid and electronically tested to ensure metal purity.
