Antique Art Deco Earrings. Possibly a bit earlier - from the Belle Epoch era. Platinum w 18k yellow gold and diamonds. Probably made in England, circa 1920's.
Measurements: approximately 3.5 cm (a little under 1 1/2 inches) long. 1.33ct diamonds. Weigh 8.7 grams.
Earrings made of platinum in a lacy openwork style that reflected the fashion of the day - very light and airy. A central flower form of diamonds set in filigrain platinum with an outer border of scalloped petals. The flowers are suspended from a fine tapering line of diamonds. The backs are probably replaced posts in 18k yellow gold. Workmanship is beautiful and the earrings are suitable to wear to the finest occasions.
Marks: none - if there were marks on the clasps, these were lost when the posts were attached. Platinum and gold were acid tested.
Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures for details.
