Vintage bangle / bracelet. High carat gold (at least 22k) set with rubies. Made in India circa 1970 in typical Mughal Kundan style. 

Bangle is a nice, comfortable size and will fit most wrists. Outer diameter is just over 2 1/2 inches (67mm). Inner diameter is just under 2 1/8 inch (57mm). Weighs

a whopping 51.1 grams. 

Total ruby weight approx 23.50 carats.

Width of the bangle is quite wide - approx 4mm. The sturdy gold band is kunda set with rubies, typical of old Indian Mughal jewellery. The bangle has a hinge and

clasp to make wearing easy and the clasp adds to the visual appeal of the bangle, being a screw with a raised round top, set with a ruby to match those in the rest

of the piece, but slightly larger and rounder. Highly attractive and versatile piece of jewellery. 

Gold was acid tested 22k.
