Signed, Vintage Chinese Mandarin pendant made of carved carnelian, diamonds and gemstones including emerald, ruby, sapphire set in 18 carat gold. Made for Tiffany & CO in Italy.

Wonderfully carved bust of a Chinese mandarin. The stone glows as the light catches it. Great detail to features - from the slanted eyes to the sweeping moustache. He wears a huge 18k gold hat with twisted rope trim ending in diamond tassles that swing as the wearer moves. It is centered on his head with a largish cabochon sapphire, above which is a pagoda-shaped crown, ending in a 3-lobed ruby flower. His collar, made of textured, gold is also set with precious gemstones - diamond, emerald, ruby and sapphire.

The pendant is hallmarked with 750 for 18 carat gold; TIFFANY & CO; Made Italy.
