Antique figural perfume / scent bottle depicting a woman holding a pug dog. Made by the Meissen factory, Germany, circa 1850.

Measures a little under 3 inches tall (75mm).

Woman wearing beautifully handpainted long skirt with frills and a harlequin bodice, holds a pug dog under one arm. The head of the dog is a gold mounted stopper for the perfume bottle. Fabulous minute detail - from the whiskers on the dog's face and his intelligent eyes to the gentle face of the woman and her pretty painted cap.

Marked underneath with the Meissen blue crossed swords and impressed 047 and 97.

Good condition. No chips/cracks/damage.
