Antique Georgian Part Parure / Suite: Necklace, Earrings, Pendant - Brooch / Pin. 14-18k Gold and pink topaz. Original fitted box. Made early 19th century, circa

1820's. Probably English. 

Necklace is 16 inches (41cm) long.

Brooch/Pendant is 2 1/4 inches (6cm) long, excluding the loop.

Earrings are 2 1/8 inches (5.5cm) long, excluding the loops.

Weigh 66.8 grams.  Topaz approximately 34.36carats.

Exquisite set. The gold is largely openwork and wirework cannetille - very intricate coils, fans and minute granulation. Part of the necklace is a flat chain of

diagonal bands of gold, leafy-patterned in sublime detail and craftmanship. The whole is set in pink topaz, foil backed as was typical of the Georgian era,

glistening and sparkling softly. THe workmanship and appeal is superb.

The necklace has a day/night attachment with the pendant, which doubles as a brooch. It hooks onto a loop below the largest, bottom - most section of the necklace,

which is on a hinge, so that when the pendant is not being used (or is being worn as a brooch), it is rolled up and hidden from sight.

No hallmarks, as is typical of this period. Gold acid tests for between 14 and 18k.

Comes in original fitted box retailed by F.L. Hausberg, Liverpool, United Kingdom.
