Silver brooch, made in Israel, circa 1950 and signed Bezalel Yerushalayim.
Oval brooch measures 2inches long.
A beautifully cut and blue gemstone is set in the center, which is raised above the level of the outer margins, which have a sun-ray effect swirling around the border.
The back is marked in a number of ways: in Hebrew letter: Bezalel Yerushalayim, slightly worn as well as a hallmark, perhaps the makers', the Hebrew letter Shin. Also inscribed English letters Made in Israel and 950, which is higher than the usual sterling silver standard.
Condition is good and ready to wear. There is negligible denting to the border that does not detract from the strong design of the piece.
