The size of the entire page is just under 9 inches wide X 12 1/4 inches long.
The artist has used old paper that has a blue stamp from the Jaipur Government Court. A great way of recycling and going green.
The painting is a vignette of a pair of hunters, seated on elephants hunting a tiger who has been caught up and held in the elephant's trunk. The noble, who sits in
the front is about to shoot the tiger with an arrow from a quiver behind him. His servant, crouching further back on the elephant, has just done the same. The
elephant is beautifully bedecked with colourful textiles and golden jewellery with rubies and emeralds around her head. Great focus and intensity in the glance and
pose of the hunters.
Good condition.
